Hello! My name is Laura and I'm new to this site. I'm on my way to my new journey in life, my first doctor visit is February 8th I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. I'm going to have the Gastric Sleeve and I look forward to having discussions with the people on this site who have already had the Surgery and the people who are going to have it! I need all the encourgement & support from people who know what's it like to struggle with weight and all these crazy diets that don't seem to work.. I get a lot of support from my boyfriend he just recently had the Surgery and he's looking and feeling great so right now he's my mentor&my inspiration.

Welcome Laura. All I would say is that be sure you want to do this for yourself. If so and you are willing to be both patient and become health educated along the way (through short falls and successes), you will do great. I do not regret this one bit. Thank you Jason! Yes I'm positive this is something I want to do I've been struggling with my weight for some time now. I'm just a little nervous but that'll pass. I see you have already had your surgery! Congratulations. I would like to talk to as many people as I can about this surgery to become more educated it always helps to talk to other people who had the Gastric Sleeve and people who are about to do it like myself..

you are so lucky having your hubby support, one of my friend is trying to have a sleeve and her husband its not happy with the idea i think he is so selfish and doesn't care about the health of my friend. thats so sad.
