I'm a daily weigher and I've been drifting in the mid and low 250's for a month or two now. Kid's easter candy was not my friend! I'd started to creep back down again and was 251 yesterday. I got so used to seeing it and then going back up a pound or two I kinda expected the same this morning. But low and behold 249.7. Goal!
I've never really been this weight. I'm tall(6'5") and have a normally heavy build(my middle finger and thumb don't touch around my wrist). I was 300 pounds in 7th grade. Other than briefly touching 280 when I was 17 after six months of Adkins which rapidly came back after I even touched a carb I've always been heavy. Until three months ago I'd never shopped in the regular part of a clothing store. Ever! As a kid I was sentenced to the "husky" section. I hate that fing word. I'm still in the big and tall section, but just for shirts, because I'm tall! 6'5" with 30 inch pants means if I want to tuck in a shirt or not show a plumber crack still gotta go there.
My mom told me on mother's day that I was actually smaller than my older brother now which shocked me. He was captain of his college crew team and was always this 6'2" 200 pound athlete who had no problems finding a date. I haven't seen him since my dad died and he sued me over my dad leaving me in charge of running the family business. I know it's bad to take delight in such things, but yeah that made me feel really good. Can't help it! I'm not the fat kid in the family anymore, I'm the "skinny" one.

I'm still going to keep working at it. Another 10-20 pounds I think is possible. I'm also thinking about skin removal surgery. When I lift my arms I have wings of extra skin and I have a pouch of skin where my stomach used to be(well and it wraps around to my back). My wife got a mommy makeover after our kids were born and they removed almost 20 pounds of excess skin and I've lost a lot more weight than she had put on during pregnancy.
Had another big guy call me today for my docs number and it felt good to help someone else on to the path. I feel great and happy!
