Feb.7 is my 2 year sleeve aversary ..

I had been doing so well .. Had hit my goal weight of 149!!!!
Walk/ running 5 K's and even a 16 K .. Than some health issues .
A hiatal hernia that causes reflex . Carbs help crackers help..
If that was the single health issue I would be okay but for some reason the most painful pain in my side . CAT SCAN showed a hole in my left hip.. I had to slow things down until that was checked out .. I had body scans and bone scans end result all other bones are healthy .. So hopefully things back to normal .. Wrong.. Melenama on my back than less severe skin cancers first my left leg .. Than last week one on my arm...
So the end result 15 lbs weight gain .. Present weight 163 .. So as soon as my arm heals I need to get back to work !

I'm so sorry about your health issues! Do you think the running caused the hole? Every single doctor I've ever asked has warned me about running and how it hurts the body much more over time than it helps people stay in shape. :/ maybe try fast walking or swimming? Cardio, zumba, dance. Etc

I do more of a fast walk with some running . They actually think a cyst ruptured in my hip..may have been from being hit by a car years ago .. I do swim actually Aquajog which has been on hold due to skin cancer incisions.. I am disappointed I. The weight gain but do feel it is more from inactivity than eating .. I still eat smaller meals and work hard to get all my fluids in.. I do cheat sometimes with the sweets and need to get out of that habit again .

Listen, that melanoma is a big thing..be gentle with yourself! dont beat yourself up..this is a big deal..hoping all goes well and you are on the mend and you will get back to your goal weight in no time..

Hey, Aqua. Good to hear from you. Are those melanomas the terrible kind or the ones that lots of older folks get that are relatively harmless?

Asking, because I'm in your age bracket (am 70) and alert to those things, too.

Ann2 .. The bigger skin cancer was in my back and yes it was a melinoma . The bad one but It was caught since I get frequent skin checks . The other 2 not as severe . They were able to get all the cancer cells each time ..just slowed me down a bit .
