Nine months have gone quickly. I saw my surgeon today for my follow-up. Blood pressure was great. Pulse at 60. Weight 196 down from 327 (their scale) BMI 24.5. All around healthy. I recommend this surgery to my larger than normal friends. This site has been a blessing. A few members are definitely worth following Ann2 and Tin man. Sound advice from these two.
I can't say it has been easy and uneventful. Developed a blood clot within 5 days of having surgery. Blood thinner needles for 3 months....no fun.
My advice: eat slow, chew a lot, stick with your proteins hard core, walk, walk, walk, water all the time. Stay hydrated. If you get hungry have a small snack or drink some water. Don't stress eat, no grazing. Enjoy the changes. The scale will rule your life in the beginning, store it away. Have fun.
