Bought a Swim Suit!!

For as many years as I can remember I sweat it out on the beach or at the lake with capris and tee-shirts. No way would I wear a suit.

Last summer I bought a cute suit with a skirt. Today I bought a REAL suit, no skirt, size 8. (I weigh the same as last summer, but I think my running has toned me up.) Who would have thought? Off to the lake tomorrow for a week with 5 grandkids under 7. We will be BUSY.

I have NEVER had a maintenance size for a rolling 12 months.

I look forward to that milestone next summer. It'll be nice to fantasize about and focus on all winter.

No, I had never been a runner. I've always been a walker, and faithfully walked for 14 months after surgery. Then I started my running in "baby steps," like first running just down the hills, then adding some flat parts slowly, then all the flat parts, and lastly the hills. It probably took me 4 months to go from a walker to a runner. Now I do a 3 1/2 mile trail run every morning. I love it!
