    Default Getting Sleeved Tomorrow Morning!!

Surgery is scheduled for 10 am tomorrow morning. I live two hours from the hospital so we have to be on the road by 5:30 am to make sure we arrive by the 8 am check in. I was surprised when the anesthesiologist called me about an hour ago. She introduced herself and asked me if I had any questions and concerns. It made me feel a little bit better with the nerves that are going on right now.

I did not have a pre op diet but the surgeon asked me to eat light today. I am drinking as much as I can before the midnight cut off on food or drink.

See you all on the other side!!!

Goodluck with your surgery! I too was told no need for a pre op diet(luckily, as i know it would make it very difficult for me, not that i would not follow, if i had to i would, but luckily i didn't need to) but i was told i cannot eat or drink anything after midnight tomorrow!!!! My surgery is the day after tomorrow (10th June), in belgium.... my brother is going with me to give me support and company
Excited and nervous for my surgery, hope your surgery goes well xx

    No pre op diet.

Wishing you all the best and you are going to love this. Walk, walk, walk when you wake up. It helps move the gas out of your system. I am on my second month and everyday just keeps getting better and better. So be gentle with yourself in the first weeks and know you are on your way to a better life.

I am doing okay. Had a lot of pain yesterday, but doing better. Can not tolerate jello or liquid Lortab. Working on tea and broth. Should be going home this afternoon. I miss my own bed and my dogs.

The worst is behind you. Now starts the road to a new you...or rather 1/2 you

As the days go by, your pain will go away, your swelling will start to go down and you will be getting more and more liquids in. I'm sure you know the mantra by know: "Water and protein, protein and water"...

Once a couple of weeks go by you will know with absolute certainty that you've made the best decision of your life.
