Just had my 11 month check up - my surgeon is going to be away in January and wanted to get my appointment in before her vacation and before year end for my insurance so I wouldn't have to start the deductible process again.
I am down a bit more in weight, but the really great news is that I have reached the 50% fat loss goal set at my surgical meeting back in October 2013. I've actually surpassed the 50% mark and will reach my surgeon's weight loss poundage goal by my anniversary on 1/13/15. I am feeling fantastic. I couldn't have had a better outcome or journey.
Old friends who haven't seen me in a while comment on my hair cut, but my husband interjects the 100 plus pound loss - he is so proud and has been so very supportive through this whole process. Even the need for new clothes and shoes
One of my goals was to eat like a normal person, not cut out whole food groups from my diet; fruits, carbs, sweets. I am able to eat foods I always denied myself without feeling guilty. I record every bite I take and have been faithful the the adage, that if I bite it I write it! I've been keeping my food and exercise log on My Fitness Pal since I started my SWL program last August and I haven't missed a day. A food journal was something I didn't keep up with in previous weightloss programs, I'd lie about what I ate or just leave it off the journal, but not this time. I want to know how much I am eating, and where my calories are coming from. This journal will keep me honest and on track for the rest of my life.
