Jewel,
You are such a great example to follow. So impressed with the determination to finish this very difficult endeavor which I know still in spite of the helpful tool Dr Ben Meir gave to you was not a easy thing to achieve. Cheers to you!!! Any tips in how you pressed on please enlighten us all here. I am 6 months post op and after losing 14 lbs in 3 & 4 the month I gained back 8 lbs in my 5 & 6 th month. Not a happy camper. I need to get back in the game. I will say I am now at a point that no matter what I do the pace of losing has slowed to almost a halt which is why I lack motivation. Losing 14 lbs in 2 months kept me trying to reach goal. Thinking of going to the psychologist who I saw to get insurance approval. He did ask me to keep seeing him.
Seeing your testimony has moved me to see it is worth trying again to reach my goals. Thank Younfor sharing it here. Hugs

Jewel you are in inspiration. I started at 252 lbs and one day weighed in at 156.4. I really leveled off at about 160 lbs and was able to stay there for a number of months. Lately I've gotten up to 167 lbs and want to get back to that 160 and secretly, inside would like to get to my goal of 154 which puts me at thee very top end of weight for my height.
All of this aside though, this has been the greatest journey and the first time I've been able to hold at this weight since I graduated from high school in 1976. So, all in all...I'll take it. The problem now is the bad habits and the psychological of "accepting" this weight because of my age of almost 56 yrs old. I think it's pretty good, but I know I could do better.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the tremendous work and thanks for posting!
