Surgery the 12th- feel good - walked that night- and next day- Wed I feel pretty good also- that evening I started to get a little sick to stomach; but that passed- they gave me zofran- but I made a effort to walk and that helped- I am not on any pain meds- they hurt my stomach - tasted like crap and nearly made me puke... only taking chewing childrens tylenol as I need them.... This morning (Fri) feeling good- got up at 5 a.m. and had some broth and jello- along with my water- that's all I can have til next Tues.... so that's a little hard - Hope you are all to really well- prayers your way for speedy recovery also

My surgeon requires 2 weeks before surgery- and so I figured Saturday I would shop and get what needed and just get started. This is my 3rd day- and actually feel great. The reason for the pre-op liquid we were told in class is to shrink the liver so they don't snip it accidently.

You commented on my blog and said that your surgery date is the same as mine Nov. 12. I did have a question for you though. You said you are on your pre-op liquid diet already??? Wow, my doctor said to do the liquid pre-op diet 3 days prior to my surgery. So why did you have to start so early??? Just curious. Lori
