Hi there thanks for the welcome :-)

I had my surgery on 3/6/14 I am surprised to say I only lost 15lbs since then. Is that normal?
What can I do to help the weight move?

This site has helped me so much so I want to give back by giving some tips that may be helpful.


I had my surgery last Thursday 3/6th and I am already back to work today.

What really helps:

1. Walk as much as you can tolerate.
2.Little sips so you do not hydrate
3. Take liquid vitamins and get your protein in, I take (Premier Protein 30mg per carton)
4. I also take broth and add unflavored pea protein to it and it is delicious
5.STAY POSITIVE and know the pain is only temporarily
6. I take Alieve instead of Nacotics and it helped with the Nausea

I am nervous. My doctor wants to do a bypass because I have a polup in my stomach. Can I get peoples input on the bypass? Recovery? Pros and Cons? Thanks

I hope everyone today has great luck with their surgery. My surgery was supposed to be today, they put me under and then did not perform the sleeve because I had a stomach polup too large so i have to re-schedule. I am very discouraged but happy for the ones that had it today. I am praying for ll of you.

Everything went perfect. I was up and walking within the hour and have not stopped..lol. It has been one year since my surgery and I have absolutely no regrets!

I am nervous but excited. This time next year we will not be this weight we are now
