A non-appologetic shout-it-from-the-rooftops post..!
3 months and 11 days after my surgery and I now weigh 228lbs - down 68lbs. My BMI has dropped from 38.8 to 29.9.
So I am officially "only" overweight now... not obese at all..!
I weigh the same now as I did in 1992 - which was right before an injury destroyed my sporting ambitions, marking the start of 22 years of steady weight gain.
On top of that, this week at the 3-month check-up, my cholesterol was measured at 3.0. (Metric units... sorry! The healthy range is below 5.0.) So my family doctor has taken me off statins to see where I'll be in a few months without them. Which is the sort of NSV that means most to me at present.
Finally, it'll be my 46th birthday on Tuesday... the same day when I'll meet my wife at Heathrow... we've been on opposite sides of the world from each other since June.
Life is feeling pretty good right now!

Non-scale victory...anything that represents something good happening that doesn't have to do with the numbers on the scale, like a compliment, wearing a smaller size clothes, etc.
