Hey! I am chugging along. I am down about 80 lbs but still having a lot of issues getting food to go down. Can't do protein shakes without getting violently sick and I have tried a lot of different ones. How are things going for you

Hey! I'm doing really well so far. I saw your post about not being able to hold anything down! I contemplated on posting about having the exact opposite problem! The protein shakes I bought from Sam's (I've been drinking the "Premier Protein" for over a year!) were goopy when I poured one out to make a shake. I've been pretty disgusted every since! I bought 2 boxes & the first shake in both boxes were ruined! I bought another brand, but I can't even stomach the smell! I've been very mobile & was driving 3 days after surgery! I have a ton of energy, but I'm really thinking this is just mental. What kind of protein shakes have you been drinking? I've managed to get down all of the recommended water without any problems, but I am slacking on the protein! Hope this passes & you have an easier time getting them down!

Had my surgery on April 28th and wished I could say it was smoothing sailing but it hasnt been. Was back in the hospital 4 days later for have IV fluids because I couldnt keep fluids down. That has vastly improved but still having trouble with getting in protein. Now that I have had the surgery protein shakes make me very nauseated and majority of the time I throw them back up. My doctor said to keep trying different ones to find one that my new tummy agrees with. I am down almost 20 lbs since surgery and working on losing awhole lot more. Look out YMCA here I come!!

Getting excited and nervous. It seems my blood work from my oncoloist is out of whack. Going in the morning for an iron infusion. Pray it bumps me up so I can still have surgery on Monday. How are things going with you

Hey mzmom67! I see we have the same surgeon & will be sleeved around the same time! How did your appointment go with Dr. Woodman? Did he give you the 11 pounds to lose, or was that required by insurance? Good luck with your journey!

Just got back from seeing the surgeon and my surgery date is April 28! Got to lose 11 lbs before that date but that will not be a problem! I am determined that I WILL NOT FAIL!!

I am have been approved by my insurance company so i have an appt on March 4th with the surgeon so that I can get my surgery date.
