Just wondering if any of you have had a flu shot since being sleeved. My company is offering them tomorrow, and I hadn't thought to ask my PCP or surgeon about it.

Just got it last week. I was sleeved 8/20. Surgeon strongly recommended it as getting sick from the flu and trying to heal would not be a good thing.

I got my flu shot 2 weeks ago. My primary care doctor said that I should .

If you are not sick get it if you want it. I give flu shots every year to cancer patients and chronically ill patients.

They gave me a flu shot and a pneumonia shot (because I am 65) while I was in the hospital the day after my sleeve surgery. No bad effects!
Pre-op diet weight: 221 lbs.
Day of surgery: 215 lbs
