I seen on youtube a video for a DIY Gastric Bypass kit for sale by a 3rd party on Amazon.... They went on to say that it was meant for doctors only and not the public...I hope no one really tries that. I would have posted a link to the video but I can't until I make atleast 15 posts which is understandable.

That has to the craziest thing I have ever heard of. I would like to think no one would ever try this at home, my surgery lasted almost 3 hours due to a hernia and fatty liver disease. I would only want a trained surgeon removing part of my stomach.

WOW... glad I am going to one of the top 10 surgeons in the Nation. I am lucky I live near him and have good insurance. I waited probably too long to get the surgery. Should have done it years ago. But things like this scared me from self pay.

What's truly scary about this is that the "underground" docs probably will begin tryng this! I was watching a show about one of these so called docs doing plastic surgery on people in Florida and horribly disfiguring them in the process. But, some people are so desperate for change that they may fall into the trap just like others have previously. Of course they aren't really docs, but they are so convincing and inexpensive, people go to them. So scary!
