Pre-op Poop (TMI)

I'm on Day 3 of the pre-op diet (3-4 protein drinks per day + one small meal of 3oz lean meat and vegetables, no starch, no fat, very low carb.)

Today, I seem to have diarrhea, which seems normal since I'm drinking so much and eating so little. But just to be sure... is that normal?

the more liquid the more loose your stool is, I deal with this daily and haven't had procedure yet Wish you the best

thank god im not the only one!! at least u get the one small meal! i am all liquids..not only are the bowls runny but the color changed too....thank goodsness that is normal!!

My other problem is my period started again! I have an IUD that stopped it and since I started the liquid diet it came back so used to not having it! Has this happened to anyone else or just me

It took 5 days post op to have a bowel movement for me. & now, I won't dare fart in public!! lol

I "firmed" up when I got to mushy foods, so guess we are all normal, lol. I had a period just after my surgery. Waiting to see if it repeats, hope not ugh. Only perk to getting older!

Glad to know the mushy foods may make things better. I've had no symptoms of aunt flo & hoping she stays away!! lol

OMG. I'v been on the pre op for 2 weeks and still have to take a laxative to go! I'm dreading after the op. I'll NEVER go

Karon I would like to introduce you to a new friend of mine for when your in a jam (no pun intended-heehee). Their name is Phillips' Milk of Magnesia "Wild Cherry". It is true to it's word "comfortable" and "cramp free relief" and it tastes great (not chalkey at all)!
