Do not be in so hurry to lose weight. After vertical sleeve surgery weight is lost and once you will lose it, you will never regain it. You have tried a very good surgery for weight loss.

I'm so glad I found this discussion! I was worried because I had stalled for about three days without any pounds lost and I am only 10 days out of surgery. When I first got home I was weighing every morning and every morning the number would go down a pound, but then it stopped going down--even went up one day-- and now it is just sitting there and the feeling of the scale not budging just seems all to familiar to me.
Hi guys, i just wanted to ask if anyone had a thyroid condition when they had the sleeve? I just entered the fourth week and when I weighed in I didn't lose any more weight since the first week post op. So, despite my daily walking of 30-45 minutes and my very little caloric intake I still haven't lost any weight in three weeks. I asked my patient coordinator if this was normal and she suggested I have my thyroid levels checked. This makes me wonder, if I do have a thyroid issue then will the surgery work still? I can't help but think now that I may have done the surgery for nothing if I won't lose any weight still.
Rania,
I was on the web searching for how much weight should have been lost in 10 post op of being sleeved. I found you saying that you weighed yourself everyday and watched the scale go down everyday and then it stopped and actually went up one day. Our stories seemed so similiar so I wondered if you could help me. I am 10 days out and for the last three days the scale hasn't moved. I'm getting scared that I'm doing something wrong. Please help.
Michelle
