Default It's go time. What to take to the hospital?

Tuesday is going to be here before I know it. I want to start packing a bag for the overnight stay. The last time I spent the night in the hospital was when I gave birth 10 1/2 years ago.

I am having VSG at Kaiser in Los Angeles, CA. In my pre-op I was told it was only a one night stay. So what should I pack?

I want to be sure I have everything for the surgery and for when I come home. Any tips are greatly welcomed.

    How exciting for you.
I took normal toiletries, nightie, dressing gown, slippers. Maybe also some lip balm, moisturizer etc.
I took a book which I never opened once. I was too busy sleeping and when I wasn't sleeping I was walking. I was in 2 nights and never felt like doing anything much.
    All the best for Tuesday!

You won't need much. Toiletries, chapstick, slippers or other slide on shoes, loose clothes, phone/charger, a magazine, a pillow (I prefer my own to be comfortable), lotion, and any medications you take. I slept most of the time off and on. You really need to go minimalistic in my opinion.
