Anxiety

Hello everyone my surgery is scheduled for Dec 27th I’ve always suffered from anxiety which now is great due to medication and haven’t had any panic attacks at all! I’m worried that after surgery they could come back due to the emotional ups and downs right after surgery.
Have any of y’all suffered from anxiety and after surgery did it get worse or better? Thanks

I don't suffer from anxiety, but I know the psychiatrist (psychologist? I can never remember the difference) with our group never takes people off any mental health meds after surgery. He says if you need the meds to stay on them.

I take medication for depression and anxiety, my dr did have to lower my dose of depression medication cause the body absorbs them into fat but with less fat we don’t always need as much. I didn’t notice a change till I lost 40 pounds, just make sure if you feeling worst to mention it to your doctor you might need a tweak.

I do not suffer from anxiety but I can tell you I have been on an emotional high since surgery.
