    Default Help!

    Hi all!
Very excited to meet you all and grateful for this forum!
I am less than two days from my gastric sleeve.
I am used to having a few light beers every night after work.
Today I really want to have a beer but I supposed to be on clear liquids. I don’t want to do anything to ruin it. So, I guess that’s my answer but I’m starving and I want an ice cold beer and to sit outside and enjoy the sunset.
How did you all get through it? I feel like I should just go to bed and it’s only 6:30pm!!

    Hi and welcome.
You get through it because you know that at the end of it you will have a tool that will help you manage your weight and health for the rest of your life.
I was desperate for the surgery so I did (and am doing) everything that was required and/or suggested before and after surgery.
It works, but you have to work at making it work. I guess it all depends how badly you want to be healthy and well.
I'm sure that you will be able to get through these last few days. You already know that having a beer - light or not - isn't going to be the best decision.
You can still sit outside and enjoy the sunset - just take a glass of something that you "can" have.
    Good luck.

On the bright side giving up liquid bread will greatly aid your weight loss. It's about the worst thing you can put in your body weight wise.
