Default Using a Juicer after the sleeve?

I am new to this site and unfamiliar with the navigation. Sorry if I post this twice.

I was wondering if you can use a Juicer after having the sleeve surgery? I've heard something about Macro and Micro nutrients?? I thought using a juicer would be a good way to get vitamins and nutrients.

Thanks for any info. I am scheduled for surgery on April 6th.

    Take care and Happy Easter!

You can but really you want to get to the point where your calories are coming from food and not liquids. But it can be beneficial for some vitamins.

    Hi

I think thats a great idea for vitamins too.
But ... having had my sleeve only a month ago.
For me it will have to wait a little longer.

I find too much acid from juice vegetables and fruits.
However, each day is a little different and its trial and error as to what I can and can't eat/drink.

So like you I am going to do this - its just that I can't at this stage.
As everyone says its the individual and eating food is also getting easier.

    All the Best to you.

Here's the issue: short term you will spend most of your time trying to get in enough protein. If you drink juice you will be surprised by how much it fills you up and you won't have room for protein. Also, fruit juices hitting your new tiny tummy will send you into orbit. As a former sugar addict I can tell you that a sip of straight apple juice now, even 4+ months out, makes me feel like I have eaten a bushel of jelly beans. And the sugar does not set well at all. And trust me, I could have easily eaten that bushel of jelly beans pre-op and been looking for more.

So my advice is to wait until you are post surgery. See how you're feeling and what you need. You'll be getting your nutrients from the mega vitamins and supplements. You will become obsessed with protein. It's hard to imagine until you are on the other side.
