Totally common! Get rid of your scale for a while. Don't be discouraged, be excited that you are on you way to an amazing new life.
One day at a time, just work the program and it will come off. We forget that it took a long time to gain the weight and a longer time to decide to do something (surgery) about it; but we want to be thin and at goal overnight. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way! Hang in there and use the tool, it will happen!
Continued success!!
It is called the 3 week stall. I had mine at week 2. Just keep following the plan and you'll do fine. Everyone has it so your not alone! Just be patient....I know it is tough.

I am 4 weeks post op today and my scale has not moved even a little bit for 3 days now. I had read here about the "3 week stall" so was expecting it. It think it is that our bodies think we are experiencing a famine and going into slow metabolism mode. The different posters all say it is temporary but some say it lasted a week and other say multiple weeks. I like seeing the scales going down, down, down.
What everyone else said! And it does feel like a toe stub! I am very "goal" oriented and have to really work to believe that the number isn't everything; the health is everything!
I just had the sleeve on 1/29, and I hit the three-week stall last week. This week the scale moved again. Whew! I'm still not as far along as I thought or hoped I'd be, but I'm also at a weight I haven't been at since 2012 -- so I'm telling myself that this is good! Best to you.
The three week stall is a killer! My scale didn't move for two weeks. I was so discouraged, thinking that the surgery was a huge mistake. After all, you're on liquids, not eating regular food, eating next to nothing as far as portions, and you aren't losing weight. I was totally bummed. In addition to that, my mom was asking how much I'd lost every few days. How do you say nothing, after spending thousands of dollars and removing 80% of your stomach?! Thankfully, it passed. After reading here that everyone hits the three week stall, I felt much better. You will lose and hit stalls for many months following surgery. Just stick to your eating plan and exercise, and the scale will move. There are times when I was stalled for almost a month, then it started moving again.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback, I too am experiencing my first stall at 2 weeks. I am feeling very anxious and feeling like I am doing something wrong. I am so relieved to hear that it does happen this soon. I was steadily losing 2 lbs a day and then at day 10 it all came to a halt and has been that way for 4 days now. it's frustrating.
It is common after surgery, no need to worry i too faced this problem.
