    Default Surgery date 2/9/18

I had my surgery on 2/9 and was home on 2/10. Today I was finally able to bend over far enough to shave my legs, to me this is a huge accomplishment.

Today I am seven days post surgery, so day 6 of protein shakes. I am so sick of protein shakes, I had to drink them for two weeks prior to surgery. I don't know how I am going to get through another 8 days of them. I can't wait to have scrambled eggs and yogurt. How did you get through 14 days of shakes?

Today was the first day since surgery that I finally showed weight loss, I'm down 1 pound from my day of surgery weight. How long was it before you showed weight loss?

Surgery date weight - 252.4 lbs.

14 day pre surgery weight - 267.6 lbs.

    Stating weight - 270 lbs.

Welcome, you just have to take it one day at a time. You will get through it. Are you switching up and having broth, ice pops etc. the weight will begin to drop before you know. Also keep in mind everyone is different.

Hang in there. It is going to be so worth it! I couldn't stand the sweetness of the protein shakes initially post op. I had to have creamed soups made with nonfat milk. I didn't really start losing right off either since we are so full of fluids from the surgery. Relax, it will come off.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have been adding in bouillon, I actually find warm beverages easier to drink than cold. I found a bone broth that has 10g of protein per serving.
