    Default Protein powder question.

Does anyone here have a dairy allergy? I use a pea protein shake powder, since I am allergic to dairy, whey and casein, in particular. Do any of you use a pea protein bar or shake? I have not been able to find a clear protein drink with pea protein, either. My surgery should be sometime in late May or early June, just trying to figure this all out.

I'm interested in finding this out also. I don't know If I have an allergy but being on whey shakes for 3 weeks now has been horrible on my bile's! I don't care for Soy either.

I had a food allergy blood panel done and I'm sensitive to so much, but dairy is significant, in the avoid column. I'm not anaphylactic, but it causes severe inflammation and all of the nasty things that go with it. I was hoping to be able to use the clear protein supplements, but I don't think that a vegan one exists, or not with my stipulations.

    HI,

Look at Unjury online and see what they have as the make a pea protein. Boost and Ensure make a clear drink so check into those. But see what your doctor wants you to have as I was not required to drink protein in the first 2 weeks, I could if I found a clear I could tolerate.

Isopure has clear protein drinks that may fit all those requirements. I did not particularly care for them but you may enjoy them as I have read that others like them.

I found a product call 'Raw' by Amazonia, online, it is plant protein powder, no gluten, sugar, wheat, dairy, soy, corn, additives, preservatives, and GMO's.

    The upside:
    - no nasty artificial sweeteners
    - no nasty gums (can hack the texture)

    The downside (for me)
    - Sludgy in the bottom of the drink
    - goes right through me (good if you are backed up!)
