Just curious as to how many people feel they need cosmetic surgery following their weight loss. While I love the thought of getting sleeved I also worry if this is just one of many surgeries I should plan for. Would love to hear your thoughts...

I was dealing with this all day today and I got nowhere...
I'm losing fairly quickly, over 50 pounds by now I'm sure in just 6 weeks. I have noticed a slight sag under my chin, on the sides of my chest, and the ol' apron obviously - but the surgery seems pretty drastic and painful.
So I'm still on the fence, but it's a problem I love having....

Highest weight: 450+ lbs
Weight before beginning diet 90 days before surgery: 410 lbs.
Funny you asked this question. I just wrote to Louise today, asking about the mommy makeover. I suspect I will need a tummy tuck, after surgery, and am considering a lift/implants.....Louise said when I am within 20-30 lbs, I can schedule for it...BUT, I must admit, I am CHICKEN!!!! lol

When I lost weight many years ago I had a tummy tuck and boob lift. If it's needed I will do it all over again! I have a relatively flat stomach (as flat as it can be at my weight) but the scar (hip to hip) did stretch out a bit when I was pregnant. I guess time will tell!
It's with Dr. Laura, and yes- it's $5500.00 for the tummy tuck, breast (lift, reduction, implants) and lipo of your choice on one area....

Nickicole, it depends on your age, your body style, and how much you have to lose. Your ticker indicates you only have 63 pounds to lose. If you are young enough and your skin is elastic enough, you probably won't need any surgery to tighten up loose skin. You're supposed to wait about 6 months to a year after reaching goal to schedule any plastic surgery anyway, so you have time to evaluate.
JerseyJohn, I first noticed my weight loss in my neck too, but it seems to be better now. My whole life I've had a double chin, only now...not so much. I've often said that all I want is a neck lift and an eyelid lift. Everything else I can cover up with clothes, LOL!
MorefitDiane - I actually want to lose a total of 75 but am setting a "realistic" expectation for myself so that the goal doesn't seem so overwhelming. Once I get close to it I will probably adjust accordingly. However, either way I will be super happy with myself. I've heard from several people you will look the best you ever have - - - in your clothes.
Having had a ceasarean, hysterectomy and lost all this weght I definately need a tummy tuck. I'd like to get my thighs done too but it all comes down to money - as usual. I had to borrow the £11,000 to have the sleeve and will be paying that back for 5 years so it might be a while till I can get anything done. Still I've been told it takes 2 years for your weight to finally settle (loss plus any regain) so it's best to wait till then anyway
