Following post op diet

Hi everyone, after the surgery your supposed to follow the diet 7 days liquid, and so on in 7 day increments. My question is has anyone skipped a couple of days moved through the phases after 5 days.

I was supposed to be on 2 week increments. Two for liquids, 2 for soft/pureed foods, and then solids. I did 10 days before moving on to soft/pureed. I could not tolerate liquids anymore. Actually...I had some creamed soups on my "liquid" phase as I could not tolerate the sweet shakes and was making my creamed soups with milk to get protein.

No, I followed the rules.
I think they were there for a reason.

I also had it in 2 week increments. I did start pureed food 3 days early but I made sure it was really runny.

I had 2 weeks liquid and 2 weeks soft. I actually stayed on softs a little longer. My dr assured me there was no reason to rush through any of it.

I had two weeks of each (at the stage for "soft" tomorrow). Pretty much stuck with it. It's been hard, but my doctor said it takes 8 weeks for complete healing of the staples. I'm going to trust that, no matter how tired I am of non-chew food.
