I will be getting sleeved in Tijuana Mexico with Dr. Hernandez on March 14th, I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON THIS DAY FOR A LONG TIME, anybody have any recent experiences with this doctor Dr. MARCELO HERNANDEZ, pray for me, I am nervous but sooo ready!! I live in New Orleans, if there are any recent Sleever's or any support groups anyone know of please feel free to let me know!!

My sugurey is march 15 and I'm just as nervous. Of course my family is dearly concerned that I will be traveling to Tijuana for this and it doesn't help with the nervousness I already have. We are changing our future! I wish you the best of luck!

Yes, the first week is rough,I was just sleeved and not sure how I feel about it. I'm counting down to the completion of week 1.

Looks like we are using the same group, but I'm going with dr Hernandez, I will be having surgery on the 14th so we will be recovering together, I hope to see u there.

They have great wound care. First thing your on 4 days IV antibiotics. Night before surgery and day of surgery you shower with hepacleanse,unsure of spelling. Use clean towel everytime you shower untill wounds are healed. Day after surgery you will be examined my the surgeon and if stable go back to the hotel were you will remove dressings and shower wounds with the hepacleanse. dry off with clean towel put fresh clothes on and keep abdomen open. You'll call the nurse and she will spray wounds with antiseptic, dry and put clean,dry dressings on. Then you'll receive hydrating IV cocktail of antibiotics, nausea & pain meds. The nurse will bring you ice chips to eat also. It is safe to eat!!! not made with there water.

I had your doctors partner and had great care, positive experience. I did meet your doctor day after surgery. Dr Hernandez examined me and made sure everything was stable and make sure it was safe for me to be discharged to the hotel. He is a nice, caring doctor and seems to know what he's doing. The area around the hotel and hospital is quite nice. We walk all around during our stay. We were told this was safe to do. I would say the hotel and hospital are in the upscale part of Tijuana. Tijuana has really grown since I was last there.
