Okay, I finished last week with no cheats & working out five out of seven days. I stayed on plan all weekend and tested positive for ketosis on Saturday! I jumped on the scale this morning and am UP 1 lb.... New resolve. I am going to switch things up a bit, I believe I am getting too much protein which is converting to glucose and being stored as fat...this week I will have protein shakes (Isopure) for both breakfast and lunch and will have a modest seafood dinner (shrimp, steamed, lobster tails, steamed, olive oil, feta cheese and olives). I will also increase my water intake (I will actually track this as I never get enough water in) and will continue exercising. I can't wait to see what my little experiment shows me by Saturday, oh, no scale again until Saturday morning! And only decaf coffee this week!

I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend!

That stinks. Maybe a visit to the nutritionist is in order. No sense in spinning your wheels.

Good morning Ghost...not quite yet, it has only been a week, I got on the scale again this morning just to see if it has moved and no...no change, but one thing I know, I'm drinking protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and having a modest dinner, I am running daily and working out with weights, sooner or later my body has to relent and the weight will come off, it might not be today or tomorrow, but as long as I hanker down and stick to it the scale will indeed move in the right direction. I don't let the scale get me down

    1:30 pm

Just back from the gym...1 hour on the treadmill, no floor exercises because I had to get back to work...3.68 miles/311 calories burned (that means I've burned off the protein powder drink!)...just a gym junkie! Oh, and while I was panting on the treadmill, I finally smelled ketosis! It was very slight but on my breath...yah!

Have a blessed ketosis filled day all!

Well the scale moved...so happy to see my hard work paying off. I have been using Isopure protein shake for breakfast and lunch (two scoops = 2 meals) and eating a light healthy seafood dinner (steamed shrimp/lobster tails with olive oil and olives). This seems to be paying off. I did have a moment of low blood sugar yesterday but was able to bounce back without stepping off my woe. I am solidly in ketosis this morning and happy to be back! I prefer exercise induced ketosis, thus, the gym/home gym daily. I have 39 lbs to go in order to be back where I was in July of 2016, and I'm determined to get there. I wish all a happy ketosis filled day!

    AM exercise:

Cleaned a closet from 4 - 5:30 am (lots of lifting and moving, so glad it is done...one down six to go!)

    AM Food

Isopure creamy vanilla protein shake (1 scoop)
cup of coffee (back to caffeinated as decaffeinated did nothing for me )

So far I am not hungry, the protein shake is doing its job.

    PM Exercise:

    Pull-ups 17 weight set at 130
Dips 10 weight set at 130
    Tricpe Press 90lbs 3x10
    Leg Extention 30lbs 3x10
    Seated Leg Press 190lbs 3x10
    Abdominal 110lbs 3x10
    Overhead Press 20lbs 3x10
    Seated Leg Curl 50lbs 3x10
    Chest Press 60lbs 3x10
    Seated Row 75lbs 3x10

I did not include cardio today (well not yet) as I really wanted to concentrate on my form. I think I will take one day out of the week to just do weights and no cardio...if I say it enough I will believe it...lol

Watch the low blood sugar and ketosis. If you are diabetic/pre-diabetic you could need more carbs to even that out as you change. There is a minimum level of carbs you must have to be healthy.

I have what is referred to as reactive hypoglycemia. It is a byproduct of the gastric sleeve and actually pretty common, I've had to learn about hypoglycemia in the past year (this started about eight months out). The interesting thing is I can usually get the blood sugar out of the danger zone by running...it has my physician puzzled as well (that is what I did yesterday...off to the gym and I was fine). I've never been told to be cautious of ketosis and hypoglycemia...I will have to research that...I really only have low blood sugar when I am out of ketosis, which is one major reason I'm glad to see myself back. Off to research!

So the scale did not move this morning, that's what I get for slacking yesterday at the gym and not running...lesson learned. I love how being in ketosis makes me feel, several things change for me when I am honest concerning my food choices. 1. reflux disappears. 2. I sleep so much better. 3. no low blood sugars. 4. I have more energy throughout the day. 5. I have no desire for sweets/going off plan. Now these are my top five favorites, there are many more!

No exercise this morning, it was all I could do to get my husband up to take me to work...
    AM Food:

    Isopure protein shake

    Afternoon Food:

    Isopure protein shake

    Afternoon Exercise:

Treadmill 3.50 miles 1 hour 311 cals (burned off breakfast and lunch)

Well, the scale still is not moving, will exercise everyday both at work and home this week...would love to see at least a lb or two difference. I hope everybody has an amazing day!@

Hi Donald! Yes indeed! My suits are fitting me much better! I'm not hung up on the scale, for me it takes quite a bit to lose even a lb even with the sleeve, it took me over a year to lose the 120 originally, which is why putting back on 40 of that is so bitter sweet. Thank you for pointing out that important indicator for those who think they are in a stall...if you are not losing lbs you probably are losing inches!

Congrats on your loss! OMG you are rocking this.
