This is misleading. They implied that your complications were caused by going to Mexico for surgery, when in reality, they were just possible complications from ANY surgery done ANYWHERE.

Not exactly. It's talking about blood clots from sitting on long plane flights very shortly after major surgery. That is pretty specific to Mexico. Flying from Mexico to Canada is a little different than my 10 minute drive home from the hospital. People either have to get up and walk pretty often on the plane (request an aisle seat), unless they have those leg massage things they can send home with you. Not sure if they come battery powered, I know in the hospital mine were plugged in.

But I agree, complications can happen anywhere.
