It was published at the end of December and I'm glad I started to read that new book "The Secret Life of Fat: The Science Behind the Body's Least Understood Organ and What It Means for You" by Sylvia Tara.
The writer who's a biochemist start to explain how difficult it has been all her life to maintain her weight, eating barely nothing and exercising, when people around her could eat whatever, not exercise and be slimmer. That's why she starting researching.
I've read 3/4 of the book, but so far I find it really interesting because it does show that our body try his best to keep the fat what ever we do. There's many good examples of how weight gain could come from infection, bacteria and our brains try to fight our bodies to lose weight, it's a hard battle! Because our bodies do have a voice!
I find that book a really good approach to weight loss, because it does show with proofs that's it's not just about willpower. It's also chemical...the fight is real!
If you have time, give it a try, it's really easy to read and very good information.
