    Default Newbie

    Hi everyone-
I am new to this site. I had my VSG done on 12/27 and came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon.
I still have pain and discomfort. Today was my first full day of controlling my post op diet. So far so good,
although I am not sure what full feels like yet.

Welcome! I was sleeved on 12/13, and I can't really say what "full" feels like either!? I know how many ounces to consume, per the guidelines, and then I just stop eating. I'm not really hungry, so I guess I'm full. I've never experienced pain, nausea, or the burning in my chest.....and I don't want to :-D

The pain and discomfort doesn't last long for most people. When you start eating solids you will feel full very quickly. I am 8 weeks out and get full after just a few bites of food. I have to supplement with protein shakes still to get my protein in. Some people are able to get it in on food alone, I am not one of them. Congrats on your new sleeve. It is an amazing journey and if you have any questions or need support reach out. The people on this site are super and have a wealth of knowledge. The best information you can get is from people who have walked your path. Welcome and congrats!

When you are full, you will feel it. But not likely until you are on soft foods. Just eat super slow
