    Default One week post op

I must be truly blessed. Had my surgery last Monday 12/12 and have never had any problem getting liquids or protein in. I'm using the Premier brand mix and single pak drinks. Doc used long acting anesthetic inside and on the holes and I've had virtually no pain. It apparently wears of after a couple of days and by then most of the post op pain had abated. I do not understand why at my age of 71 that I'm not experiencing the difficulties getting fluid and protein in. I even have been having a container of greek yogurt every day too. I've lost 11 lbs since surgery so I'm happy. Wish I had done this years ago. The difference 50+ lbs makes is amazing. Yesterday was my Woohoo day; saw less than 300 on scale for first time in over 6 yrs. I suppose I've got a guardian angel out there helping me.

That's awesome!! Difficulty after surgery varies from person to person. Sounds like your surgery has been smooth sailing. So happy to hear that. And congrats on being under 300. That's great news.

Congratulations! I am a little over 60 and was worried that my age would be a factor, but, no. I am also so happy I made this decision. I am celebrating every "decade" on the scale and remembering how old I was the last time I was that weight. It's fun and so fulfilling to see the effort of dieting actually paying off!

Very awesome! I'm not having too much trouble getting in my protein or liquids either. No nausea! We are the lucky ones. I'm 3 weeks out and down 16 pounds. It's great to be under 300! I will NEVER weigh that again. Keep up the good work!
