    Default Alternatives to gas-x strips?

I'm having a lot of problems with gas still. I think it's limiting my intake more then the sleeve lol. I've tried the gas-x strips and they really do nothing.

Are we allowed to take things like tums etc? It's especially bad in the morning. I wake up with a stomach ache and like there's food caught at the opening to my stomach. Makes it pretty much impossible to eat. I've been up since 9:30 this morning, it's now past 1 and all I've managed is to get my meds and vitamins down.

I need to get more food in. At work yesterday I kept getting black spots in front of my eyes and was so dizzy. Managed to get a Atkins shake down but then had that gassy, full to the brim feeling all night.

    Thanks
Hit first goal of 155 at 9.5 months. Setting new goal of 145 which is less then I've ever weighed in my adult life. Woo hoo!
Hit 2nd goal of 145 at 12 months. Room for 1 more goal, I want to be less then half the person I used to be which means 139

Try the gas X chewables. I haven't been sleeved yet but they help me when I get bloated and get gas cramps during that time of the month! Hope it helps. Also try a hot shower. Let the water hit your back and tummy...I hope you feel better?

Yes, I agree with Heather. The generic name for the medicine is "simethicone". We give 80 mg. of simethicone up to 4 times a day to post op patients in my local hospital. They are kind of chalky, but you can chew them up finely so swallowing should not be an issue. Also if you could get up and do more walking, you'd probably feel so much better. Again, that is what we encourage at the hospital. Good luck. I'll be in your shoes in about 3 weeks!!

I need to use at least 3 gas-x strips for it to work for me. 1 or 2 just doesn't cut it!

I have taken Tums a few times for upset tummy. Does it help with gas too? It's the only thing that works for me after some meals.

Also, when you eat or drink try sitting up SUPER straight or even standing up. I have an easier time swallowing/digesting food if my back is perfectly straight.

Where do you buy the Papaya Enzymes? I've never heard of them.
