    Default Passports

Just an FYI, I'm going to Mexico for my surgery in January. My fiance is going with me. We applied for our passports together on the same day and had them back before 3 weeks later, we didn't do the expedited. So if you need to get your passport, it should come back quickly. We applied on a Tuesday and had them back 2 1/2 weeks later on Saturday. Good luck everyone! Just message me if you have any questions. The process was pretty easy.

My wife and I both crossed the border with our drivers license and our birth certificates, we had no problems getting home. No passport needed.

We might want to go on a cruise in the new year or two, so we will need them anyway. I would love to go to Ireland & Australia someday...

That's the route I was going to go at first too, but my sweetie and I want to go on a cruise in the next couple of years, so we opted for the full book. It's my understanding that you can go on a cruise to mexico or the bahamas without a passport, but you can't get on and off the boat without the full book passport. I want to go to europe also, sometime in the next ten years...

... i am uncertain of the guidelines regarding cruises... I was under the impression u could use it for the countries listed regardless.... but definitely not for air travel into those countries..... either way..whatever suits u best...

The guy at the post office also urged us to get the full book. He said he has seen a lot of people get the card only to return and get the full passport. Besides, I figure I can use having a passport as an excuse to travel... I can be like, Honey, we spent all that money on passports, it would be a shame to only have used them once... LOL

I'm sure that must be true, they can't make any money if they can't get you across the border and then back home right? LOL, congrats on your surgery, thoughts prayers and good vibes to you!

its not crossing into mexico that there is an issue... its getting back out... honestly, I would just as soon have it than take any chances..and having a passport or passport card certainly makes it easier.. no questions...
