I had both the first week or so, but it subsided as the anesthesia wore off. I sleep very well, now.

I have the opposite of hot flashes. I'm cold all the time. What I'm saving on my groceries bill I spend on my heating bill and wear long underwear 6 months of the year. I even wear pants in the summer if it's below 80 degrees. And no, I don't sleep great. I probably get 4-5 hours/sleep at night. Once I wake up I can't get back to sleep, which typically happens around 3-4am. I wish I could take a nap every day, but kind of hard to do at work.

I used to be hot all the time. Since my sleeve, I'm never hot anymore. I feel more normal, I guess you could say. As far as the sleeping goes, I sleep about 7 hours per night. I wear my fitbit to bed, and it shows that I am quite restless during the night though. I don't know how accurate the Fitbit is, but it shows I'm reslesss about 15-20 times per night

Been there, done that. I slept fine before surgery, but nothing has worked postop....diphenhydramine, ambien, Valium, melatonin, St. John's wort, camomile, three different Chineese herb formulas to address various Qi deficiencies, aromatherapy, accupuncture, massage therapy, meditation....you name it, I've tried it. 5 hours is my max and it's usually more like 3-4. Bummer because I never had problems sleeping before VSG.
