    Default 7 Month update

Well I am a little over 7 months out, and am down from 380 to 240-245. I have been here for a few weeks now, I am not sure if this is a stall, or if I am done losing weight. To be honest I don't really care if I lose any more or not. I am 6'3" tall, so even though my GP says I need to get down to about 185 to be at ideal weight, I feel really comfortable at the weight I'm at right now. I have lost from tight size 44 pants and 3xl shirts, to size 36 jeans and size xl shirts. The sleeve has been awesome for me, because I was a volume eater pre op. I haven't done any kind of exercise besides my job, which is lawn care. Could I lose a few more pounds just by adding a little bit of aerobic exercise daily.Or is it as hard to lose after the honeymoon phase as people say it is. The only reason I would want to lose any more is to give myself a bit of a cushion in case of re-gain. Any thoughts?

I'm a little more than 8 months out and had several long stalls since month 6. Stalls are normal but I'm still +40 pounds from my goal. Because I'm a middle age woman, my weight loss is slow compare to others but I knew I needed to exercise more as soon as my injuries would permit it. I just started walking more a few weeks ago (average of 3 miles per day now) and the weight went down again. Lawn care is exercise...and since you lost that much in such a short period you are obviously doing things the right way. If you eat enough protein, take your vitamins, drink enough water, at some point the scale should move again. My last stall was almost one month....good luck!

Im in the same boat as you. Started at 380 im now about 15 months post op. Down to about 211. Weight loss has slowed/stopped for the last 3 months. Like you said I am okay if I dont lose anymore but would like that cushion in case I regain. I really dont count calories, eat sugar free or fat free. I dont diet but I dont overeat. I follow Tinman's tips on living with my sleeve in a non sleeve world. I would say we are both doing great. Kepp up the good work.

I am almost 7 months post op. I have NEVER exercised. I feel bad about it but if I do exercise I know I will not continue. I am down 78 lbs. I still have to watch my protein (hair loss) but I hardly overeat. If I do which does happen if I eat soup I usually throw up. I ate won ton soup yesterday. Been craving it and ate too much got sick. I have not over ate since about 2 months out except soup. I try to stay away from it and if I do eat it try to watch what I am doing. I found my slider food which is popcorn. I eat way too much at once because I don't feel filled up. I have never gotten sick from popcorn yet. I do use an air popper now instead of the microwave popcorn. Hoping that helps with the calories. I have hit a couple of stalls. I am in a stall now hoping to get out of it soon and start losing again. I still have 38 lbs to lose to reach my goal weight.

I think you should try to get to your self goal of 225 before you stop. I've heard you may gain a few pounds back before getting to an actual stable weight.
