    Default Hi all newbie here.

I'm on two week diet, my date is 9/22/2016 and having second thoughts. Dr Rosenstal at Cleveland Clinic in weston, Florida seem like a great guy but still reading all the posts. It seems like some people have no problems and others are crying. Has anyone had a gastric sleeve by Dr Rosenstal?

I wish I could be of more help. I am only 6 days out and in the buyer's remorse stage. Most here who have gotten over this bump will tell you they do not regret their decision at all.

I'm pretty sure how I am feeling now is temporary and once I have more time to adjust, I will not regret it either.

It takes time and patience. It's not easy but I believe it will be worth it.

    Good luck!

I would take the posts you read as a way to prepare yourself for your new stomach. Is it hard at first? Absolutely! You are forcing your body and mind to change everything it is used to doing. That should be expected. But it is an uncomfortable spot for a short time. Once you have adjusted to your new way of life it will become natural. I am only in my 4th week and I am already getting into a routine with my meals. I will say I started my Protein shakes as soon as I made the appointment so I could find some that I liked since I am not a big fan of the shakes. Now I don't mind them and there are ways to make them taste pretty good. I have one every morning so by 10 am I already have half my protein intake. I highly suggest getting used to liquids before the surgery so you are already mentally prepared for the post op diet.

    Welcome!

It's normal to feel anxious/nervous/scared/excited all at the same time. This is a life changing decision!

This is hands down the best decision I ever made for me and my health. My ONLY regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

I highly recommend watching Dr Matthew Weiner videos on YouTube. They're full of useful information.

Best of luck as you embark on your journey!

It is natural to waver the closer you get. It is a big change and if the two week pre-op goes well you start to think you can do it on your own, lord knows I did. We all know that the two week pre-op is not something you can continue ad infinitum. Stay focused on the "why" that made you start the process. Not many had a post-op quite like mine but there is not a day that I have regretted the decision I made.

Listen to your doctors, follow the program to the letter and use the tool that is being given to you to start a new chapter.
