4 days post op

Hi everyone. I am 4 days post op! I just have 1 question.. does it get any better? I have terrible gas pains and some abdominal pain. How long did it take for your pain to subside? All opinions are welcome. Thank you

Yes everyday gets easier and easier. My pain was gone by day 4. Prayers to you and be sure and walk walk walk, it helps move the gas inside of you.

You should quickly feel better. Walk. Get your fluids in. I promise it gets easier.

I am with you. I feel constant bloating and constipation but it is getting better. Tonight I had a big meal, 3/4 cup of hello and a popsicle.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I can't really advise you, I'm only 3 days out. But, I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recover.

I really don't have any advice other than what has already been said. Walk as much as you can and get those fluids in. Every day gets easier.

Give it some time. You should start feeling better in about a week. Personally I had no pain just soreness. Walk as much as you can to help move the gas but don't overdo it.

Just make sure you rest. I was overworking myself and my left side hurt something terrible on my 7th day. I was having a hard time getting up and down out of bed. A couple days of Tylenol and some sleep with no lifting to stretching and I felt a lot better. I can still feel the incisions but as long as I take it easy they don't hurt.

Ditto for the above replies on pain.
I had no pain and thought I was superwoman and decided I could go to work 5 days after... did not have to so soon
I was exhausted 7 days I out , I drank lots of fluids and got the rest, and TLC I should have done from the beginning .Finally am feeling stronger

I was sure it would be awful forever at that point and I kept saying "what did I do?" but I promise it gets a little better everyday. Take it one day at a time, you'll get through it!
