Peter's Getting A Sleeve

Well, I'm on day 3 of my "wonderful" pre-op liquid diet. I think if I didn't have any no-sugar-added fudge-sicles and low-carb yogurt, I'd go absolutely bonkers. Getting more nervous and excited as the time approaches. The surgery is on Wednesday morning, but I'll have to go in sometime on Tuesday since I am on Coumadin, they are going to put me on a heparin drip.

Good luck and prayers for a speedy recovery. I had my surgery on 8-1 and doing amazing and so excited to hit goals and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

I'm surprised you got the sleeve if you only have 42 pounds total to lose. I would think the lap band would be a better option for that since the sleeve is more drastic.

I had the lap band for 9 years and had problems with it, then got a hernia and surgeon suggested when he repaired hernia to take out band and do sleeve.

Ok thanks. Well good luck on the 25 remaining pounds and hope this is more problem-free than the lap band was. I actually have a hernia now that will have to get repaired some time after the sleeve is done. I'm also having a hiatal hernia fixed during the sleeve surgery.
