Lap Band to Sleeve Scheduled 9/1/16 - Nervous and Excited!

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Ali. I got the Lap-Band in 2002 and lost 170 pounds in the first 2 years. I managed to keep most of it off until last year when I started having issues with the band and had to get my fill removed. I have since been unable to refill it due to severe reflux and other issues. As a result, I have gained 100 pounds back over the last year and 6 months and have been devastated.

I am scheduled to have my band removed and get the sleeve on 9/1/16 and am very apprehensive and excited at the same time. I have heard that the weight loss after having the band is slower than for new bariatric surgery patients and am nervous about having another surgery.

I am really looking forward to hearing about other experiences in my similar situation.
