I'm 4 week out and still struggling with getting enough water down and tired. I mention the water because when I stand up I'm dizzy. .getting better but still happens here and there. I have driven a copy times but made sure it was right after protein drink. My doctor also said I'm doing ok..everybody just reacts different. Every morning I get up with the mind set today is the day I'm gonna drink all day and get it down. Honestly, I haven't yet. I'm just not hungry or thirsty. So i am tired as well. Hope you feel better soon.

    Newme0608 said it all.

It WILL get better. Some just take longer to recover than others.

I too I'm 30 days out and I am struggling with having energy myself but with every day I feel better lightheadedness is gone and I drink a lot. I make myself carry a bottle of water with me and I make myself sip sip sip. I even have a bottle of water in bed with me so I can wake up and take a sip. I have been doing that for the last couple weeks and now I am thirsty so I'm thankful for that. So it will come in time you just have to make yourself and I'm telling you it didn't change until I got enough protein in my body. I didn't want to eat or drink so I took the advice from the people on this site and started drinking protein drinks and making the protein drinks and putting protein in my food and when I started consuming at least 50 grams of protein a day I started feeling better and I started getting thirsty. So I think you're ok good luck to you just get the protein in. The people on this site have so much help that they offer it is just a blessing to be on this site.

I had a helluva time getting in fluids. Once I tried some hot tea, there was no looking back! Hot tea was my miracle cure!

Thanks for all your comments. I haven't been on any pain meds since about 5 days after op. I did my last fragmin jab last night and have only been taking vitamins and adcal, I'm hoping now I'm on soft foods this will help, I've never had an op before and I fell great a little discomfort, I m just finding the no energy a bit hard to deal with. I think I'm lucky I don't seem to have any drinking restrictions so 3 pints a day is no problem and its somethings I've always done. I do however have to watch the clock to drink after meals, as I've always drunk with food. Thank you for all your replies
