PeachState of Ga approval process

Hello, Everyone
Today was my new patient appointment to see about getting the gastric sleeve. I have peach state of Georgia insurance and the requirement list is already a hassle.I am 5'6 240 pounds my BMI is 38.9 and today at my appointment I was so discouraged. I was basically told that with my weight and BMI and the fact that peach state requires 6 months supervised weight lose that I will most likely get denied. My face almost hit the floor, I'm thinking I am obese and have struggled with weight my entire life why would I get denied. The medical assistant told me that with peachstate I cant GAIN or LOSE any weight within the 6 months or i will get denied. I cant understand how they expect the body to not gain or lose atleast one pound.
As anyone had experience with peachstate of GA and the gastric sleeve process? All help will be greatfully appreciated.

is there anyway you can self pay? I managed to go to Mexico and pay about 6k which includes everything from hotel, surgery, plane tickets etc and saved myself about 7k...
