    Smile My one year anniversary

Today is my one year anniversary! My weight loss has come to a screeching halt, but I am feeling so much better after losing about 100 pounds. Took my measurements today - 11 inches off waist, 15 inches off hips, 8 inches of bust and 8 inches off my thighs.
My Bariatric surgeon quit last month and disbanded the whole Bariatric program at my hospital so I am on my own now. No other program in the area. I have lots of loose skin and the surgeon had told me he knew how to write a referral for skin removal so my insurance would cover it. Oh well I guess I am stuck with it now. But I am happy and feeling better about myself!

To get the skin removed contact your Insurance and tell them you get bad sores and rashes from the loose skin. They will approve it.

You might want to check with the hospital where you had your surgery. They may be able to refer you to a plastic surgeon that does reconstructive surgery. Most hospitals have some type of physician referral system.

your PCP can document skin issues. do not self treat. go in for every yeast infection, tear, wound, etc.

That really stinks they upped and left. A good PCP can monitor your blood every 6 months
