Default Sleeved, and Pregnant? help! im eating more

    Hello everyone!
I reached my goal of 135 at my one year mark and was maintaining a weight between 135 and 140.
I am 26 weeks pregnant with my first and am now 150-155, its all baby weight and I am not at all discouraged or think I will keep gaining after the baby.

HOWEVER, I have noticed that I have been able to eat MORE and more often. I was wondering if any of you sleeved women who have been pregnant post op have had this happen and if after the baby is born you notice your intake start to decline again.

I know I should be sticking to three meals a day and healthy foods, but anyone being pregnant knows that a slice of pizza or a cookie is just sometimes neccesary. I eat at least every 2-3 hours, not full meals but at least a snack. If i dont i start feeling nauseated. I dont want to get myself into a habit of eating more and more often obviously, but i think my body and baby is just begging me for extra nutrients and im curious to know who thinks it will stop once i have given birth?

You are eating for 2 and it is very important to nourish the baby. Don't have big meals to stretch your pouch, that will be the danger there, but if you are eating small meals then you should be able to bounce back after the baby with a better eating schedule.

I am 1 year post op and have the blessings of my surgeon's office to try to get pregnant. When (not if ) we are successful, they want to continue to see me- especially the nutritionist- to be sure that I am doing well and gaining the proper amount of weight but also getting in the nutrition I need and providing the nutrition the baby needs.
Have you spoken with your surgeon's office? And, congratulations!!!!!!

I had my twins when I was 32 years old. I will be 59 in March. I remember being starved when I was pregnant. It is important to eat if you're hungry. Keep it healthy and eat small meals often. That is just my opinion. It sucks to be hungry but you don't want to stretch your pouch. That's all the advice this old lady has. lol

I can't eat nearly as much as a normal person. I eat more when I eat really slowly. I've just noticed that I am eating more. It may also be because I am two years out and I'm finally getting used to eating the amount I should. I mean, I just started being able to have a whole cup of yogurt. I was very behind on the portion requirements. I've eaten way less than what they expected me to eat three months out. Maybe this is normal!

I think as long as I'm not gaining significant weight during pregnancy, that I will be find afterwards. I've only gained 10 lbs and it's all baby!
