Let's talk restriction!

How's everyone restriction?

I'm 3 weeks post op and have notice I can't eat as much. But I also don't feel very restricted. I'm having to do more mental restriction. Eg: breakfast this am I made sure not to eat more than one egg and one piece of bacon. I stopped. Was still hungry and walked away. I felt hungry for two hours, drank lots of water then had a high protein snack.
I've read some people who can't even eat half an egg. What's more typical?

Drinking 2l+ per day. Trying to hit my protein goal daily but don't always make it.

You won't feel restriction with liquids, at least I didn't. Just wait until you try a piece of chicken, then you will feel it!

I'm three weeks out ( Jan 16th ) I've managed to eat an egg ( scrambled with milk so soft ) Not sure I'd try bacon yet - I'd be scared it would get stuck, plus it's salty and fatty. I've managed chicken mushed down - I can only eat a small amount of that.

I did try a tiny bit of salmon with broccoli the other day - with lots of sauce so mushy but that had me being sick ( one and only time ) so that's made me nervous as well lol

In 5 days I can try the chew chew foods - but I'm going to take it easy and definitely avoid carb foods.

My surgeon only required two weeks of purred foods post op and for the past week I've been on solids. I've had chicken no problem. And lots of other foods too.

I'm a year out and I only eat one egg. At 3 weeks out I bought a scale. I knew my stomach capacity 3-4oz so I weighed out my food. A lot of times I didn't finish and some times I finished no problem. Depends on what I was eating.
Their is a cottage cheese test that I've heard of people trying months or years out.....how ever many ounces of cottage cheese they can eat is their capacity. I couldn't do that cottage cheese isn't my thing.
Anyways......I would buy a food scale. I never walked away hungry. We're told we won't be hungry.....I thought I was hungry post op but it was acid, took prilosec otc and that hunger feeling went away.
I bought a decent scale for $6 on ebay. I still use it occasionally

Oh and I tried a 1/2 piece of bacon 2 weeks ago and felt sick....too greasy

I am only 12 days out. Clear liquids. I can't drink much! I get my protein in and today finally my water. Maybe that's why he had me on 2 wks liquids. We'd is my day to see the nut. Glad but kinda scare. Sugar free gum is my friend for xhewing right now. But don't swallow it.

I'm 9 weeks post Gastric Sleeve and still struggle to eat much at all. I almost never feel hungry. I guess we are all very different.

I did not feel physically hungry for quite a while after getting the surgery. It might have been more than a year before my stomach actually growled.
