11 months out...26/06/15

Hi Everyone,

Just a little update, on my 11th month out from surgery I hit 9st 4lbs loss which is 130lbs ! My losses have slowed way down now, it took me from the beginning of February to the 26th May to lose 1st (14lbs). I am averaging losing about a pound a week now but to be fair I have hit the doctors projections of losing 60% of my excess body weight so it is expected....I will keep plugging away as I do have a way to go to get to my target.
I went shopping at the weekend and came back with a whole new wardrobe of clothes in a size 16 ! This is when it hit home for me on how much weight I have lost as I still do struggle to see it...I started this journey hitting the size 30 bracket so this was a big achievement and having not been in a 16 since I was 17yrs old I couldn't be happier. Check out my before and after pics which I recently updated. I have actually lost a person quite literally off of my back...how did I carry that round because I sure as hell cannot lift it lol ??!
The only downside to my journey is that I was diagnosed with gall stones which is an unfortunate side-effect from my huge rapid weight loss. I am waiting to have it removed as the pain and sickness I have been experiencing has them concerned so am on a cancellation list for the surgery call could be any day. I am not going to let that get me down, I am on top of the world ! xxxx

Congrats! I've stalled for some time now - been around the same weight for weeks and am very frustrated. Any tips/tricks/suggestions are definitely appreciated. I was so hoping to hit the 100 mark on my surgerversary but, I'm happy with whatever I get at this point, just hoping to have a few more down by then. (July 29)

We are very close together surgery date wise, although I was at a much higher starting weight than you to begin with so my loss will be slightly more. You have lost an amazing 85lbs and have done a cracking job! How good do you feel? Try drinking more water and maybe get a little more sleep at night time, I found that that helped me when I actually stalled. I am yet to find anything (even exercise) that speeds up the lb a week, I think my body has just settled into its routine now :-) xx

I looked at your before and after pictures... You were beautiful before the surgery and still are! Thank you for sharing as your story gives me inspiration and something to look forward to! I am scheduled for surgery I'm August and the date just can not come quick enough

Hi I'm 20 months out and lost about 8 stone 7 .my weight has really slowed down also I'm lucky if I lose 2 pound a month,which of course is frustrating as I have 46 pound to goal,but like you I'll keep on plugging!! You have done amazing well done x

WOW!! Congratulations! You've done an AMAZING job!! (Don't worry about the gallstones op - I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago and feel considerably better without it ��) x
