    Default Vomiting a lot

I am still eating small quantities but am vomiting:
    Any fried food
    Lo mein
    Beef
    Bagel
    Shrimp

I've been generally nauseous and am having a hard time eating/drinking protein. I hope this is temporary and am going back to soft non-dense goods. Oh and in not losing weight even though I am exercising more and not eating too many calories. Greek yogurt here I come.

Avacado and fruits kept giving me issues in the beginning months. I would just wait another month and try them again until they agreed with me. Thankfully, they both did cause I love to eat both.

You may want to talk to your doctor. I'm not much help, as I've never vomited since surgery. But after 20 months I still feel pretty bad anytime I eat any fried food.

All of the foods you listed, except maybe shrimp cause me issues. Anything bread like or starchy can cause sticking sensations and just don't sit well with me. Beef is notoriously difficult to digest and requires taking small bites and chewing thoroughly. Bagels are really heavy and starchy and fried foods are going to always be difficult I think. My nutritionist basically told me no grains (which include bread, noodles, etc.) until I have lost 75% of my weight. She said eating those can halt weight loss. I do eat a bit from time to time but never a serving of a bagel. When my tummy starts feeling more sensitive I go back to softer foods that I know my stomach can tolerate more easily - but it does change and one day a food won't bug me and the next it does. Also, if I even eat one bite too much I will get that foamy barfy problem. What doesn't fit easily in my tummy comes up - but that is only if I push the amount. Small bites and small amounts and thorough chewing help. I just think some foods are not going to ever sit well again. Sorry. Hugs xo

By the way I am in a semi-stall and you and I started at almost the same weight and are not almost the same. I think our bodies take a while to adjust, then start dropping again.

You are not alone!! I notice I have one every 10 lbs. or so. Then, after about 3 weeks or so I will start dropping again. I think I need to add a protein shake back in once a day at least to get my protein in. We can do this Mem!

I probably need to do the opposite, I've been getting most of my protein from shakes/bars and sometimes chips. I am trying to eat more regular food, but it doesn't go well. I just ate 2 slices of good turkey and 4 grape tomatoes and I don't feel well, very stuffed, very gassy. This is usually the case.
Haven't really had time to pay much attention, but I might just go back to puree stage. My husband is having the surgery in a month, maybe i'll start over with him!

Hey Mem! I was sleeved right after you and those foods don't sit well for me either.
I go to a diner every weds and I was picking the fries off my son's plate, within a few minutes I would get so nauseous, watery mouth, couldn't move or talk cuz I was afraid of vomiting on the table. I thought I was just getting a wave of nausea but same thing happened the following week after eating some fries....and by some I mean like 4.
bread...can't do it, gives me an uncomfortable full feeling after one bite.
I'm OK with beef. I was advised no beef for at least 6 months, after the 6 months to chew a lot....I guess it's a little harder to digest then other meat.
maybe it'll pass, maybe it won't.
I know I'm not going near the foods that make me feel so horrible.

Hi MEM, I'm also having trouble with vomiting, it's been for some time now. I'm very nauseous, too. Some days I throw up lunch and dinner, some days just dinner, some days I'm ok. I can't pinpoint a specific trigger except chicken is very hard for me to eat. I asked my surgeon about it and he said not to worry unless it's more than 3 times per week (well, sometimes it is!) I try to go back to plainer food - homemade egg drop soup is my go-to, and a couple crackers seem to sit ok. It's rough! I'm not eating very much and have hit stalls. I wish my weight loss was higher but then again, 62 lbs in 4 months is not bad, right?!

What have you found that works for you? I'm taking prilosec and when nausea is bad, I take Zofran.
