Pregnancy and Morning sickness with GS

Hi there . I had my gastric sleeve last year in July and had great success with no issues. I became pregnant with our first in late feb of this year and have had non stop sickness. I throw up multiple times a day and have felt horrible the last 3 months. I'm beginning to worry that it may have something to do with my surgery. Has any other moms had these issues with the sleeve ? Or would it just be hormones? Thanks!

I have had three children. It's been a while. My youngest is seventeen and just graduated from High School. This was way before I had the sleeve. Had severe nauseous with my second child. Threw up every day till I gave birth. Probably just hormones. Did you ask your doctor's?

With both my pregnancies I had horrible morning sickness most days, day and night. My friend had 3 kids and
ms with only one. Between the two of us all kids were healthy.

Probably hormones but I would consult doctor.

I was so sick with my first one that they had to take me off work for awhile. It sucked. But it passed and the next one was much easier. I would say that since this is your first child, your body is just dealing with hormones it hasn't had to deal with in levels it never had before. Be sure to keep your water intake high though, it is easy to get dehydrated.

My first child, a girl, I had the morning sickness, like clockwork every morning at 645. with my son I threw up everything for 3-4mo before I was put on Zofran to control it........now I hear that Zofran is not good for pregnant women but maybe there is something else that can help

I have 3 kids two born before my gastric sleeeve and one after. After was MUCH harder because I was constantly sick the ENTIRE 9 months! I had a hell of a time keeping enough food down and he was not growing at one point so I was told I had to force myself to eat more and try to keep it down. It was a tough road for me after VSG having a baby but her is here and healthy still tiny but he is wonderful. Congrats on the pregnancy and hang in there it might suck but its worth it!

It's probably just hormones, but I would check with your DR, and I have a friend that has horrible pregnancies like you and just keep eating small little snacks and as much water as you can stand, watermelon helped too.
