God, what a thoughtless comment! I'm so sorry you had to hear that.

If you are willing to go to Mexico breast reconstruction is a third the price that it is here and there are plenty of good doctors...you just have to choose carefully. Once in awhile insurance will pay for excess skin removal if you have direct problems as a result from it (cysts, rashes, etc.).

My insurance has told me that while it's happy to pay for the sleeve, it's not doing skin removal/breast reconstruction, etc. so when it's time I'm off to Mexico. I've done a lot of research on the subject and am comfortable making that choice.

thank you, yes I plan to go out of the country probably but even that is severely expensive for me because at this point I am on total disability and only get $674/mo. I hope that with the weight loss will come enough healing for me to go back to work and earn the money to get further surgery as needed. I am also writing down every cyst, boil, rash and yeast infection and going to the doctor on my Medicaid to get it documented!

I've got rashes under my breasts now b/c they've gotten so big and all I get it is "Lotrimin 3x a day and Goldbond powder." It makes for a messy existence, and is only ONE of the many reasons I want a BR.

Let's hope you're right about being able to go back to work when you lose weight, doubtless you will feel better. I feel A LOT better at a lower weight, being at the weight I'm at right now is torture. My hips, knees, and feet hurt 24/7 and it is really hard just to move around.

I have rashes and weird little not pimples not blackhead thingies and a cyst or boil NOW...isn't that just precious?

Yes lugging this weight around is killing me, literally. I cannot stand long enough to prepare a meal but I can grab something out of the fridge or cupboard that doesn't have to be chopped or prepared or cooked even in the microwave....such a healthy existence. I can barely walk 1000 feet and that is asking a lot and I can't do it without canes or walker. I can't comb or wash my own hair because the fat on my arms and neck is so much that I choke myself and start to black out when I put my arms up and back...besides the fact that I have tears in my rotator cuffs and my range of motion is so limited. I am grateful for my life and the wonderful care I get. Still I think that I can do more to serve myself and others at a lower weight! I have been thin a couple of times and for long periods of time but I always gained it back. I am hoping the surgery will make it harder to do that!

Well, it looks like you've lost some weight thus far so let's hope it will continue!

Those weird little thingies might be skin tags. I have those too, under my breasts, on my thighs, etc. and they are just lovely, yes.

Let's hope we're both released from the prison of weight and can get on w/ the lives we were meant to have! Including smaller, easier to manage, breasts.

Something that I have kinda stumbled on but when I start to get rashes under my breast, folds etc.... I use secret deoderant regular solid and it keeps it from sweating and getting more irritated and that helps it get better quicker, I'm not syaing its a cure or it will guarentee to heal you but IMO it helps!

I can't help but wonder if any of those people did any weight-lifting and/cardio and/or exercise. Many of them look like they have not. I have been working out and I've already started to notice small, positive changes despite my saggy areas, though they do seem to be getting a little better. I expect I will still need surgery though to look like what I picture in my mind.

Okay so Buddy beat me to the obvious as far as a typical guy response...well played sir, well played.

But I still might add to this errr...ummm...tittilating discussion.

I never had sagging man boobs, but I do have a large chest..my shoulders/chest have always exceeded my waist (think Tasmanian Devil). A personal trainer has told me that weight training and push ups will raise and lift the chest, but not affect the skin at all as was previously mentioned.

Additionally, I use Aquephor (sp?) skin lotion on any rashes of the skin fold nature. Many of those rashes are actual bacteria or fungal in origin where the rash is worsened by the rash material feeding on sweat in a dark moist place. The Aquephor I find suffocates the rash and prevents it from feeding, clearing it up usually in a day or 2.

As a caring, supportive, nurturing fellow member of the board I volunteer to apply this Aquephor to any breasts that need it within a reasonable travel distance of the Washington to NY corridor. I will take absolutely no enjoyment out of this purely selfless, clinical act....;P

I can't figure out how you'd know if someone worked out or not by looking at those before and afters. I can see that they look bad before and better after, but not whether they worked out-how can you tell?

Ugh, Aquaphor would make me break out, I'm now doing a routine of sulfa lotion+ powder. Not good for my bras.

    While I appreciate the sentiment, I don't recall mentioning any "heart"s.....LOL ;P

I think I may have to join a different forum for that, but thats the kind of opportunity that comes with getting healthier - its just one hell of a side effect!

My doc takes the skin tags off with a cauterization device right in office.
Guess I'm one of the odd ones who is ready to augment if I get below DDD. I'll do a lift if/when we can afford it and if they don't stay large enough I'll get some implants. Until then it's Cacique bras and chicken cutlets (silicone inserts that help lift when put in the bottom of the bra). Not looking to be Dolly Parton (wouldn't hubby love that!), just have my body be balanced, top and bottom...
I also use secret deodorant in the places that need it. It does help, though I've been chastised for putting aluminum on too much of my body surface... but it's that or rx creams. Not sure which is worse.
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

The skin on my breasts is so sensitive from the yeast I'm scared to put deodorant on it. I have this super strong anti-persperant that lasts for 2 days that you have to put on at night b/c it would irritate your skin right out of the shower. If my skin clears up I might try it.

I found out the other day that removal of skin tags is considered "cosmetic" and might involve a fee, luckily enough the one I had that was really hurting fell off the other day, I'd been putting one of those small round band aids on it so nothing would touch it and irritate further and that seemed to have killed it. I hope it doesn't grow back.

I'd imagine that there are plenty of women that want to augment, Grace, I'm just not one of them! C cup for me, no more! I've had large breasts my whole life and while they were sometimes fun they've been more of a bother than anything else.
