Excited but nervous about the exercise required due to Fibro

I'm just hoping that with less weight to carry around, I am able to do more than I can now. 16 days out! Hoping this is the best new chapter in my life. Can't wait! And my family is extremely supportive. I can do this! I really appreciate all the discussions. You all are very inspiring!!

You got it, and you will do it! I've found some of the conversations a little scary, a little crazy, but extremely supportive. I'm studying like cuh-ra-zee! I think im getting cross eyed reading blogs, searching the web and looking for advice. We shall be okay!

Yes, you can do this! I had my surgery Dec. 16, and I just turned 54 years old Jan. 25. I feel better than I have for 20+ years! Good luck to you on your journey!!

I have chronic back pain from a work related injury, failed surgery and permanent nerve damage. Getting the weight off was not the miracle cure that I was hoping for but it was better than no improvement. I still have good days and bad days... but the weight still came off!

Just wanted to say I am a little over 2 years out and this has been the best decision I ever made. My only regret is that I didn't do this when I was younger.

About 12 years agoI was struck by a car. A parking attendant hit the gas instead of the brake .
I am hearing impaired . Somebody yelled at me , instead of trying to move out of the way ,I did of understand what they were saying . I turned toward the moving car. The car bumper hit my thighs . The force throw me back words andI landed on my butt and back.
I had shoulder surgery because I put my arm back to try and break the fall.
The pain and recovery as well as taking heavy doses of prednisone for Menerie's started me to gain weight.
I fall down 14 steps several years after that caused more pain and more weight gain .
Since than lots of stiffness and discomfort .. Had the sleeve and as I started lossing weight it became easier to move and I became
Much more active. I have my Mardi Gras outfit out for my 5 th 5 K which I will do this evening .. I will do a Disney 5 K next week !!!! Hopefully you will be able to be more active after surgery .. Good luck!
