I'm only a few smidges away from being able to wear my grandmother's rings, a set my mom had cleaned and sized for me a few years ago. This means SO MUCH to me.

Great topic, but I don't know if I have one yet. I'm 8 days out, still swollen so I haven't noticed any differences in the way things fit. I will see my cardiologist soon, and if any of my meds are changed, that'll be a big one for me!

A big one for me since starting my transition towards the new "me" I went down from a bp med. plus water pill to just a bp med. The decreased the bp med by half. And the last week I was taken off my bp med. completely. So I dropped to med.s since starting my journey. The only med I am still on is prilosec which I may or may not be on for a while.

There have been so many it is hard to just pick one. My favorite is fitting comfortably in an airplane seat. Another favorite was listening to someone talk about normal sized women and realize they were talking about me. The most resent was shopping a clearance sale at Macy's and finding lots of my size clothes. The larger sizes are always gone fast but they had plenty of mediums and smalls.

This weekend I was shopping for some clothes that fit me better. I have always been a 1x to 2x so I tried on a large and my husband said try on the next size, well to my amazement I am now a Medium!!!!

I'm three weeks out and, for the first time in twenty years, I'm wearing my original wedding ring! What a wonderful treat. I've been wearing my grandmother's and, while it's beautiful and has loads of sentimental value, wearing the band Jim slid on my finger in 1969 is very special. He's pretty darned proud, too. On the other hand, seriously?? All that surgery for thin fingers and skinny wrists? (My watch keeps turning upside down). I hope everything else starts to catch up!

Just realized today I am starting to look like I'm wearing someone else's clothes. Next week is closet cleaning time.

Off all blood pressure, cholesterol, asthma meds with normal blood work\no symptoms!
I under-grew my glasses? Yup. My face shrunk THAT much! Sporting contacts until I can find some frames that fit!
The boyfriend likes to call me "wee bitty" and have me walk on his back
My purse fits in the seat with me at the movies
Had to get pads for my wooden kitchen chairs cause they hurt my bony butt
Went zip lining and was given instructions for the "under 150 pounders" to maximize speed so we'd make it all the way across the longest line and not get stuck in the middle!
Shopping is easy now! Always mediums and smalls on the sale racks!
The elevator is broken? Not a big deal, I'd rather walk anyway!
My hairdresser of 10 years didn't recognize me!

Had my first real post-op NSV today and remembered this post!

Prior to surgery, if my husband was doing the laundry, my list of laundry instructions was very complex. I had a list of clothes that could go in the dryer and a list of clothes that were tight (and cotton) and, therefore, should NEVER go in the dryer. T-shirts, certain pairs of jeans and pants, etc.

My husband just asked me if a particular shirt could go in the dryer and I realized, yes! I'm swimming in everything I have right now, so, yes, please, throw that t-shirt in the dryer. In fact, put it on "inferno" and dry it TWICE, thankyouverymuch.

Many but yesterday was the latest.. Most of you know I live in a retirement community with many snowbirds.many people had of seen me for at least 6 months.. Pat lives across the lagoon from me but had not been here all last season due to her Mom's poor health.
I took a late walk/run yesterday . When I do this , I throw my hair on top of my head ,wear a sweat band a hat and sunglasses.
I also wear running shorts and any old top.
Pat was back and when I said "Hi !!" Her mouth dropped .ROZ is that you?!!!"
She told me that I had been talking to another friend a couple of days ago, I walked in the other direction as she joined the person I was talking to. I did not see her . The person I was talking to ask her ," Don't you know who that was" Pat said she told her." I do not know that lady!"
We were at a meeting last evening ..I took a shower , blow dry my long hair , put on a bit of make-up . I put on my skinny jeans and a cute top..
I was sitting by my husband when Pat came into the hall.. She told my husband "You must be so proud of your beautiful wife !"
Nice to be called beautiful at 63 years old !!!!!

Being able to cross my legs was a big one - I love to cross my legs and sit that way most of the day. Getting out of the plus sizes is another one - I now comfortably wear a large, which is amazing! Also, not being "obese" on the BMI chart was a happy one, although that could be considered a scale victory.... So many, it has just been a wonderful year.
